2019 Alta Vista "Single Vineyard Alizarine" Malbec

Each wine from the "Single Vineyard" range comes from a specific vineyard, allowing for a deeper exploration of the unique qualities of soil, climate, and altitude of each wine.
The diversity of Mendoza terroirs, and Alta Vista's dedication to reveal the unique expression of each terroir, has allowed them to be the first winery in Argentina to produce Single Vineyard, since their fist vintage in 2001.
The "Alizarine" vineyard is located in "Las Compuertas - Lujan de Cuyo" and wines from this particular vineyard are known for its floral bouquet, good acidity and round, elegant tannins.
Deep ruby appearance.
Aromas reminiscent of spices, chocolate & ripe fruit on the nose with hints of some animal notes, giving the wine a superb aromatic complexity.
Great structure on the palate, round and with soft tannins but with a very lingering finish.
A very elegant Malbec of superb quality.
100% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months (2/3 are new barrels and 1/3 are second use barrels)
